Attorney P.J. Beirne with co-counsel Mark Mueller & Hunter Hillin obtained a $22.6 million verdict in Hamilton County, Ohio on May 19, 2008 on behalf of Heather, Jim and Cassie Grow. Cassie was injured during birth at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati when her physician failed to stop pitocin and deliver her timely. Cassie underwent several hours of labor unnecessarily which resulted in brain injury, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and cortical blindness. As a result of Dr. Yang and Group Health Associate's negligence, Cassie will require lifelong medical and nursing care.

Robert Lewis, Esq. and Anne Gilday, Esq. recently concluded a matter involving a security breach at a hospital with resulted in the unnecessary death of their client's husband. Settlement terms are confidential.

Richard Lawrence, Esq. and Tom Korbee, Esq. recently tried a federal jury case in federal court over birth injuries sustained by the failure to monitor the child and perform a necessary cesarean section. Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Korbee obtained a substantial settlement for the family as trial concluded. Settlement terms are confidential.

Richard D. Lawrence, Esq. has been recognized by both Super Lawyers of Ohio and Super Lawyers of Kentucky as being in the top 50 lawyers in both states. Jill Gustafson, R.N., Esq., a registered nurse and an attorney, has been named 2007 Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Institute. She continues to concentrate her practice in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury.

Anne Gilday, Esq. is a member of the Women's Section of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. She continues to concentrate her practice in medical malpractice and domestic relations.

Tim Davis, a 2007 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law, recently published a law review article in the Pierce Law Review entitled, Beyond the Cat's Paw: An Argument for the "Substantially Influences" Standard for Title VII and ADEA Liability. The article focuses on Cat's Paw discrimination which occurs when an employer is held liable for an employee's reported discrimination against a co-worker. Tim Davis recently took and passed the Kentucky Bar. Tim is now licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky.
